Welcome to Week Two of Save Your Photos Month. This week we will be focusing on Keeping Up With Technology. The purpose of this week is to provide resources for ensuring photos remain viewable and non-corrupted with constantly changing technology.

Our tip for this week is: Tip #5 Keep Your Memories Safe

To keep your photos and memories safe, they need to be kept somewhere other than just your computer, phone, or cloud storage. Keeping a copy on an external storage device, such as a hard or solid-state drive, provides several benefits.

With an external hard drive or solid-state drive:

  • You get to know what you have and how much you have
  • You can easily access all your photos without relying on an internet connection
  • You can have more control over the security of your photos
  • You have a backup if a photo goes missing from your other locations

Save Your Photos Month is all about preserving your photos and videos before it’s too late. Take advantage of the FREE CLASSES offered through The Photo Managers during September by signing up at SaveYourPhotos.org
