To keep your photos and memories safe, they need to be kept somewhere other than just your computer, phone, or cloud storage. Keeping a copy on an external storage device, such as a hard or solid-state drive, provides several benefits.
With an external hard drive or solid-state drive:
- You get to know what you have and how much you have
- You can easily access all your photos without relying on an internet connection
- You can have more control over the security of your photos
- You have a backup if a photo goes missing from your other locations
