Step 1

Step 1 – Connect

Contact us to learn more about our services and products or for a free phone consultation. There is always someone here to answer your questions. Fill out the form at the bottom of this page, email us at info@goldstarphotosolutions.com, or call us at 530.264.5995.

Step 2

Step 2 – Meet

Set up an in-person consultation where we will discuss your project together and decide on a pricing package and timeline that will best suit your needs. Based on this conversation, we will prepare a quote for service to be approved by you. Once that is approved, we will draw up a contract.

Step 3

Step 3 – Produce

We will take your photos or media back to our studio where we carefully work on your project paying strict attention to your directions whether it be scanning, converting, designing, or creating. The finished media is then labeled if applicable and an invoice created.

Step 4

Step 4 – Deliver

We will contact you when the project is completed and set up a meeting time to deliver your finished products and originals. Depending on the service, this is a great time to view the final edit of a celebration slide show or review scanned photos on removable media. Payment for services of products is due during the final meeting.

Print Scanning

Preserve your memories and milestones with print and memorabilia scanning.

We hand scan your photographs, art, and memorabilia - up to 8x10 in size. Manual adjustment for color, density, contrast, saturation, and red-eye reduction are all-inclusive in scanning cost. Volume discounts are available for this service. Oversize originals, photo repairs, and restoration are available at additional costs.

Digital Media Conversion

We convert popular media formats to digital files.

39¢ per minute

We can convert your popular media formats - including VHS, DVD, DV, 8mm tape, and hard drives - into digital movie files. Cassette, reel to reel, and 8-track tapes can be converted to MP3 files. Volume discounts are available for this service. Conversion of U-matic, Betamax, and other formats are available for additional costs.

Coaching

Learn how to preserve your own photo memories.

We can teach you to scan, organize, create the album of your dreams, and more. We can also help you learn about Cloud storage options. In addition, we offer basic computer instruction and software training. Contact us to set up a coaching session.

Slide Scanning

We scan 35mm mounted slides.

59¢ each

Slide scanning includes cropping and rotation and also includes manual adjustment for color, density, contrast, saturation, and red-eye reduction. Volume discounts are available for this service. Large format slide scanning, photo repairs, and restoration are available at additional costs.

Negative Scanning

We scan color and black & white negatives.

79¢ each

We scan 35mm, 110, 120, 126, and 127 negative formats. Manual adjustment for color, density, contrast, saturation, and red-eye reduction are all-inclusive in scanning cost. Volume discounts are available for this service. Photo repairs, and restoration are available at additional costs.

Unique Media Scanning

We offer scanning services for black & white and color media.

We scan Kodak Disc, 8mm, and Super-8 film. Manual adjustment for color, density, contrast, saturation, and red-eye reduction are all-inclusive in scanning cost. Oversize media can be scanned or photographed and combined into one image is available at additional cost. Photo repairs and restoration are also available at additional costs.

8mm/Super 8 Film

Convert your film memories to digital.

59¢ per foot

We clean your film and repair any splices before taking a digital scan of each frame. MP4 is the default file type with additional formats available upon request. Volume discounts are available for this service. Sound film conversion and restoration are also available for an additional cost. 16mm film conversion also available.
